Meet Rococo’s founder and head chocolatier at the Aldeburgh Food Festival

The Aldeburgh Food Festival is one of Chantal’s favourite foodie events.

‘They’re just so nice!’ she says. ‘Sometimes the organisation at events is painful and the whole thing feels like hard work, but gosh this is fun, it’s a small place and you get to meet everyone.’

Over the weekend of 28th/29th September, over 80 producers gather at Snape Maltings near Aldeburgh for a food fair with workshops, talks and competitions. Fringe events continue for a fortnight after the main event, and Aldeburgh is a lovely seaside town well worth exploring.

Chantal’s highlights at last year’s festival included dinner with Thomasina Myers and Valentine Warner, a clutch of sold-out workshops and watching Ed Sheeran busking (She didn’t realise he was famous until she got home and was shown a video of him on YouTube).

This year Chantal will take both her family and Barry Johnson, our head chocolatier, along for a jam-packed weekend of talks and workshops. You’ll be able to see Chantal and Barry at these times:
