Lucy at Ladles and Jellyspoons makes our praline-filled real eggs

It’s always lovely to see Rococo in other parts of the world and to hear people’s memories of us. For Lucy Lean in the US, Chantal’s Mastering the Art of Chocolate brought back memories of childhood Easters on a farm in Devon, one of our giant chocolate bunnies presiding over the festivities.

Lucy made the Praline-filled real eggs with both quail and hen eggs from the book. The results are on her blog, Ladles and Jellyspoons.

Such gorgeous photographs!

Lucy, if you read this we want to know: what did you do with the insides of the 70 quail eggs? How big was the omelette? Has anyone else made these praline eggs?

I just loved making these eggs and I can’t wait to cook/make more from the beautiful book – that is now my top pick for giving as a present. As for the insides of the Quails eggs – how I would love to tell you I had made a giant omelette – the reality was I discarded them – can’t wait to hear if others will try to make these – they really should.
