British chocolate company, Rococo which currently only has shops in London’s exclusive Belgravia, Chelsea and Marylebone, has opened as a concession within the hotel.
The new concession will feature a mini steam train running along a circular track with 15 stations that tells the story of chocolate in a unique attraction suspended from the ceiling.
Chantal Coady, Rococo founder and creative director, said:
“I am really delighted that Rococo Chocolates will finally be opening a branch in the North of England, especially in such a beautiful location as The Chester Grosvenor.
“We think there is a strong synergy between us and the Grosvenor brand, and it’s high time that the Rococo Couture range of chocolates was available north of Regents Park!”
Chocolate lovers will be able to take part in special chocolate tasting sessions held at the concession after hours and Rococo chocolate will be featuring in gourmet lunches and dinners held in the Michelin-starred restaurant ‘Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor’.
The new La Brasserie menu features treats for chocolate lovers with a special Rococo ‘chocolatte’, made with Rococo cocoa and hot milk, and a ‘chocolate shot’ made with 70% dark chocolate cocoa and water to create the chocolate equivalent of an espresso.
Guests checking into the hotel will also be invited to collect a sample of Rococo chocolate from the new concession. Rococo’s signature chocolate will also be available in the minibars in the hotel’s rooms and suites.
