For any self confessed choc-o-holic I think it’s fair to say that Chantal Coady – (founder and entrepreneurial mastermind behind Rococo chocolates) has the job of our dreams. Being avid fans of Rococo (the girls here at LA HQ often nip to the Kings Road store for office treats/gifts), we were delighted to spot her beautiful home in the pages of The Times, showcasing our very own Laura Ashley blinds and paint. With a mutual appreciation for fine chocolate and Laura Ashley interiors (a lady after our own heart) we were eager to find out more about Chantal, her sweet tasting life, her favourite places and most importantly her home…
Which rococo chocolate is your absolute weakness?
The lemon and violet ganache from our Rococo Couture range, a lovely tangy lemon and hint of violet as a top note with a creamy milk chocolate outside – sounds unlikely I know!
Your favourite market?
There are now so many great little farmers markets around, we have one close to our house at the Oval on Saturdays, great bread, coffee, meat, fruit and veg, and sometimes Panama hats.
How would you define your personal taste?
Eclectic, I suppose I have been influenced spending my childhood living in far flung places, so I tend to mix up lots of different styles and cultures. I love the Swedish Gustavian look and also anything Moorish plus ornate Louis XIV Rococo stuff. I think its fair to say that I am not a minimalist!
