Last week I felt honoured to be invited by William Curley to the launch party for his dessert bar. The opening of the bar has been postponed several times since William opened his swanky new Belgravia shop. Every time I visited, I was disappointed that it still wasn’t open, so I jumped at the chance to sample the menu that he has created.
I had an amazing night at the launch of the dessert bar. Vintage Champagne was virtually on tap; the savoury canapes were delicious and the patisserie was absolutely exceptional. It was fantastic to see William and his team constructing the desserts in front of us and the atmosphere was great. An added bonus was the presence of Paul A Young and Chantal Coady, who came to show their support. I hadn’t met Chantal (who owns Rococo) before, though she has read this blog so we had plenty to talk about.
