The Academy of Chocolate Awards for 2013 were announced this week, and we’re delighted to be among the winners again. We’re particularly proud of Barry, our head chocolatier, for winning 4 gold awards in his first year with us.
We’ll post more about the winners over the next couple of weeks, but here’s a rundown of how we did:
Salted chocolate toffee and crunchy praline – Gold winner, Best Filled Chocolate (Nuts)
Kalamansi Lime Caramel – Gold winner, Best Filled Chocolate (Caramel)
Passion Fruit & Rosemary Caramel – Gold winner, Best Filled Chocolate (Caramel)
Madagascar House Truffle – Gold winner, Best Unflavoured Dark Truffle
Organic Milk Chocolate Rose Otto Artisan Bar – Silver winner, Best Flavoured Milk Chocolate Bar
Organic Milk Chocolate Sea Salt Artisan Bar – Bronze winner, Best Flavoured Milk Chocolate Bar
Rococo Advent Calendar – Bronze winner, Best Packaging (Filled Chocolates)
The gold-winning chocolates are available in our London and Chester shops from this week.
The picture above shows Barry with our founder, Chantal, and Mott Green of the Grenada Chocolate Company. We’re delighted that Mott’s Nib-a-Licious bar won a silver medal in the Best Flavoured Dark Chocolate Bar category. Well done to everyone at GCC!
