UK Chocolate Week is one of the highlights of the chocolate industry year, and it’s a great chance to join in some fun events and an excuse to celebrate (and eat) chocolate. We’d love for you to join us at one of our events.
Monday 14th October – Chocolate Dinner at Hardy’s
We’ve been collaborating with Hardy’s on a 3-course chocolate dinner for a number of years now, and it’s always a real treat.
This year the dishes are influenced by Chantal’s book, Mastering the Art of Chocolate and include duck confit with Chantal’s favourite citrus-braised fennel with a white chocolate sauce, and an Earl Grey tea ganache dessert. The £35 price includes a pear bellini, and Chantal hosts a complimentary tasting of our award-winning chocolates after dinner.
Tuesday 15th October – 30 Years of Rococo History with Founder Chantal Coady
Taking place at the King’s Road shop where Chantal started her chocolate empire 30 years ago, you’ll enjoy a chocolate tasting and a glass of bubbly while Chantal shares Rococo’s journey in an intimate setting.
Wednesday 16th October – Chocolate & Beer Pairing
We recently marked the opening of our new shop and event space on Moxon Street (did you know our Marylebone Street shop has moved?) with a chocolate and beer pairing, and it was so popular that we’re recreating it for Chocolate Week. We’ve chosen craft beers and matched their flavour profiles to our chocolates, creating combinations that surprise and delight.
Thursday 17th October – Surprising Flavour Combinations with Chocolate in Chester
Of course, our Chester shop isn’t going to miss out! Here we’ll celebrate chocolate week with a tasting of unusual chocolate canapés accompanied by a glass of prosecco. Combinations won’t be revealed until the night but might include chocolate paired with bacon, cheese or olives; all we know is that it will be delicious.
Friday 18th October – Tapas Evening at Motcomb Café
For one evening only we’re converting our Motcomb Street cafe in Knightsbridge in to a tapas bar. The evening includes a couple of drinks and savoury tapas with chocolate notes like Spanish ham with balsamic chocolate drizzle, followed by our award-winning couture ganaches.
Saturday 19th October – Children’s Story Time & Chocolate Painting with Steve Smallman
Our chocolate and story time sessions at the Motcomb Street cafe are always popular, and this time Steve Smallman, illustrator and author of over 40 children’s book, will be our joining us. As well as reading from his books, Steve will create a chocolate mural for the kids to paint on with more chocolate!
Friday – Sunday 18th – 20th October – Salon du Chocolat
Salon du Chocolat is an international chocolate fair that takes place in cities including Paris, Tokyo and New York. It’s the first time London has hosted the fair and many of the UK’s most exciting chocolate companies will be there with stalls or taking part in workshops, demonstrations and the chocolate fashion show. We love meeting our customers at fairs, so please do come to say hello and sample something if you go!
Booking is essential for all of our events. Please contact Julie on 020 7245 0993 or [email protected] for more information.
